Frequently Asked Questions - Educators
Numbertots
Numbertots is aimed at children aged 3-5 (Early Years) but can also be used with younger children to help provide a head start.
If you are playing along with the kit there are resources for up to 8 players.
Each video runs for approximately 15-20 minutes but you can pause as often as you like. We recommend you give yourself 5 minutes to set up your Numbertots kit and hide your topic cards.
Each session is a stand alone active learning adventure teaching a different topic from the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. You can play along to the video, with the additional topic resources, then complete the topic based activity book to reinforce the learning.
Everything you need is provided as part of the subscription.
Numberleague
The Numberleague is aimed at children aged 7-11, KS2: years 3-6, to compete from in their classroom.
In the Numberleague you get to join live sessions from your classroom. We send all of the equipment and resources directly to your school. This includes: a webcam, USB extension cable, red, blue and green bibs, Answermats (wallets that remove the need for marking), topic cards and answers for all children, bean bags and trays. We offer the Numberleague in batches of 6 sessions, each session can then be scheduled at a convenient date and time.
Each session runs for roughly 45 minutes, we recommend you leave 10 minutes before the session for set up.
Each session starts with a warm up, where students practice key concepts such as times tables. This is followed by two activities using topic based question cards, and ending with mindfulness. All of our warm ups and activities are led by the Numberfit facilitator over your screen and are physically active and fun.
You can participate in the Numberleague using a SMARTboard or projector found in most classrooms, all other equipment is provided as part of your package.
A taster of the Numberleague where your class can compete against others in a prerecorded video as if it was live. The competition involves getting active and cometeing to solve the most maths questions against the teams on screen. At the end of the competition you will also be able to see how your class has placed against all schools taking part in our international leaderboard.
